There are so many blogs to read, why should I read this one?
Lets be realistic about blogging. Most blogs, even so called Christian blogs, are navel gazing, rant and grumble outlets. The blog format can be addictive the consequences being people begin to hide within them selves more and more. It’s a bit like heroine, once your hooked you have to be weened off it. It’s an echo chamber of content and can make stupid ideas and theology end up in tacky paperback books. Blogs are a way of getting ideas out there and so you really have to be careful what you take in. Blogging is really dangerous!
But it’s also a legitimate and relevant way of getting the Gospel out globally, encouraging people to make decisions to invite Jesus in to their lives and to encourage people to live passionately for Him world wide.
Habakkuk 2:14
I’m convinced that if Martin Luther and Charles Spurgeon were alive today they would have a blogs. It’s a fantastic way of sparking conversations with those who don’t know Jesus yet. That’s the aim of this blog to really get into the meat of God’s truth and to share it. I think Habakkuk 2:14 puts it really well.
For the earth will be filled
with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea.
That’s what we as Christians should be living for, to see the earth absolutely flooded with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD. GOD is so AWESOME!
